Utility Token

AKRE as a Utility Token

The AKRE token serves as the cornerstone of Arkreen’s ecosystem, playing a pivotal role in capturing value and incentivizing climate-positive actions across on-chain green asset transactions. It underpins the network’s functionality and sustainability. Users utilize AKRE tokens to pay service fees for:

  1. On- chain issuance green assets, including tokenized renewable energy certificates (AREC/ART) and green energy.

  2. On-chain offset/redeem green assets.

  3. On-chain trading green assets via future marketplace functionalities.

Part of the service fees are burned to deflate the AKRE supply.

Token Model: A Dual Approach to Value Creation

  1. Supply-Side Value: As more renewable energy activities and green asset issuance occur, service fees grow, driving AKRE’s intrinsic value, the greater the value captured by the network.

  2. Demand-Side Value: Increased voluntary carbon offset activities translate into higher offset service fees, boosting the ecosystem’s utility and relevance.

Token Mechanism: Capturing Value in Green Asset Transactions

Arkreen’s token model merges:

  • Public Welfare: Motivating and rewarding climate action with utility tokens.
  • Commercial Viability: Capturing value through service fees via utility tokens on the decentralized green asset network.

This dual mechanism underpins Arkreen’s DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks) strategy, fostering a balance between incentivized climate action and economic sustainability.
