REC RWA is now in trial.
A REC RWA (Renewable Energy Certificate Real-World Asset) represents 1-year environmental benefit tied with a remotely operated solar photovoltaic plant of 1000 Watt (1kW) capacity. REC is a kind of environmental benefit that represents the generation of green energy. See AREC/ART for details of Arkreen Renewable Energy Certificates.
The solar photovoltaic plants tied with REC RWA are registered with REC standard organizations (such as I-REC Registries) that partner with Arkreen, resulting in more stable and efficient power generation.
A REC RWA owner can issue AREC/ART against the energy amount the tied solar photovoltaic plant generates, for voluntary carbon emission offsetting activities, e.g., GreenBTC.
A REC RWA DOES NOT earn AKRE rewards.
Transfer Restriction
The REC RWA's ownership as well as any benefits tied with the REC RWA are permanently bound to the wallet address that initially receives the REC RWA. Arkreen doesn't support REC RWA transfer so far. If the NFT representing a REC RWA is accidentally transferred to another wallet address, the REC RWA's ownership and the tied benefits will NOT switch to the new wallet address.
